Counting of votes is underway in Madhya Pradesh and it will determine the fate of incumbent BJP and opposition Congress for the next five years.
In a largely bipolar elections, exit polls predict another win for the ruling BJP while Congress is speculated to finish a distant second.
Over 2,500 candidates are in the fray for 230 assembly seats with the majority mark to form a government at 116.
The BJP was in power in MP since 2003 till Congress won in 2018. However, the Kamal Nath government collapsed 15 months after being formed following a rebellion within the INC.
Since then, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has remained at the helm of affairs in MP.
