Mohan Yadav takes oath as chief minister of Madhya Pradesh

Days after election victory, BJP's Mohan Yadav took oath as the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh. Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda took oath as deputy chief ministers.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and other senior leaders of the party.

Former MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also took party in the ceremony.

Ahead of the oath ceremony, Mohan Yadav said, "Madhya Pradesh will follow the footsteps just in the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading the country. I come from the land of King Vikramaditya and I am committed to the progress of the state and fulfil the aspirations of crores of citizens of Madhya Pradesh. We will see the same good governance that existed during the rule of King Vikramaditya."
