After winning the Punjab polls, the Aam Aadmi Party has secured more berths in the Upper House of the Parliament as well.

Hours after Bhagwant Mann was sworn in as the chief minister of Punjab on Wednesday, reports claimed that cricketer Harbhajan Singh is among the names which the party is pondering upon for Rajya Sabha berth.

Singh is also likely to be made the head of a proposed sports university in the state, as per reports.

On March 10, Bhajji had congratulated Mann and wrote, “Congratulations to Aam Aadmi Party and my friend #BhagwantMann on becoming our new chief minister… great to hear that he will be taking oath as the new CM in Bhagat Singh’s village Khatkarkalan…”

On Wednesday, Bhagwant Mann took oath as Punjab's new CM in the presence of party chief Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP leaders including Manish Sisodia.

The Aam Aadmi Party currently has 3 members in the Rajya Sabha.
