Rajasthan BJP leader Sandeep Dayma has tendered an unconditional apology after his comments on gurudwaras did not go down well with the Sikh community in the poll-bound state.

Dayma, who was the BJP candidate from Tijara in the 2018 Assembly election, reportedly stated at a public meeting in Tijara on November 1 that Gurdwaras in the region had become 'open sores,' which should be uprooted.

He further stated that Alwar MP Baba Balak Nath, contesting the polls on a BJP ticket in Tijara, would complete the task.

Later, Dayma in his video apology said he wanted to refer to masjid in this speech but somehow said gurudwara.
