The counting of votes has commenced in Rajasthan and will determine if a resurgent Congress can retain power in the state.
More than 1800 candidates are in the fray in 199 seats across the state which has alternately elected the Congress and BJP every five years in the past thirty years.
Election in the Karanpur constituency was postponed following the death of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar.
The majority mark to form a government is 100.
BJP is contesting on all seats while Congress has left one seat - Bharatpur - for its ally Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) like the 2018 elections.
