The Election Commission of India has reportedly suspended Director General of Police Telangana Anjani Kumar for violation of the Model Code of Conduct. This comes after Kumar and other police officials met Congress state chief Anumula Revanth Reddy with flower bouquet at his residence in Hyderabad. Reddy is contesting the assembly election from two seats. While he appears set to win Kodangal seat, he is trailing in Kamareddy. Congress is poised to form the government in the state.
