A swarm of bees attacked at least 15 voters in Tripura as they queued up to cast their vote on April 26. Fire service personnel rushed to the site and the injured voters were rescued and shifted to Khowai District Hospital.

Polling reportedly resumed after a short break.

The injured voters were later released and sent home safely before the emergency service personnel destroyed the beehive which was set up in a building close to the polling booth, Indian Express reported.

Reports claimed the bees came out of the beehive suddenly and attacked voters.
