After having released a list of promises for the youth and women, the party issued its general manifesto on February 9. Farmers, Covid warriors, teachers, and MSMEs are the main focus of the manifesto, as per reports.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra reportedly said that within ten days of the Congress forming the government, all farm loans would be waived. The party also promised to purchase wheat and paddy at Rs 2,500 per quintal and sugarcane at Rs 400 per quintal.

Electricity bills will be halved, and dues of the pandemic period would be waived, Priyanka reportedly said. With the issue of unemployment one of Congress' main attacks on the BJP, the party promised to fill 12 lakh posts in the public sector. Apart from these, 8 lakh more jobs would be created.

To woo school staff, the Congress reportedly promised a salary of Rs 5,000 to school cooks, and regularisation of adhoc teachers and shiksha mitras based on experience and rules. Rs 25,000 for families worst-affected by Covid, a Godhan Nyay Yojana, and free treatment up to Rs 10 lakh were some of the other promises.
