The first phase of the 7-phase Uttar Pradesh assembly elections started on February 10. 58 constituencies of the 11 districts in the western region of the state are casting their ballot.
Once a stronghold of BSP, 53 of the 58 seats in the region voted for BJP in the last 2017 assembly elections. Counting of votes will be done on March 10.
