Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday took a swipe at his sister-in-law Aparna Yadav who joined the BJP.
The SP chief congratulated Aparna, who is married to his younger brother Prateek, and hoped that Samajwadi Party ideology will now seep into the BJP and help protect democracy.
Akhilesh also took a dig at the BJP thanking the party for giving tickets to those people whom even SP could not give ticket.
The younger bahu of the Yadav parivaar on Wednesday switched loyalties on Wednesday and joined the saffron party in Delhi. The BJP is likely to field her from Lucknow Cantt seat, which she had unsuccessfully contested in 2017 as SP candidate.
