As the UP began to vote in the first phase of Assembly Elections on Thursday, chief minister Yogi Adityanath raised the polarisation pitch.
In a video message posted by the UP BJP on its twitter handle, Yogi Adityanath has said that a wrong decision by the voters will turn UP into Kashmir, Kerala or West Bengal. Urging voters to vote for the BJP, the CM said that their vote to him will guarantee a life without fear in UP.
Yogi Adityanath, who is seeking second term in office, has all through the campaign raised the anti-Muslim rhetoric to whip up fear of the community among the Hindus. He earlier called the election a 80% Vs 20% fight, which roughly the division of Hindu and Muslim population of UP.
