The people who most look forward to Valentines day are slowly becoming less those in love, and more those against it. In visuals that have gone viral on social media, several members of the Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, including women in saffron scarves were seen harassing a young couple and threatening to send a girl to jail if she did not call her parents. The mob slapped and abused the boy accompanying her. Earlier in the week, the same hooligans were also seen hanging up the effigy of Saint Valentine, claiming that these festivals were a western influence and had no place in our culture. An FIR has been registered against the accused involved in the incident.
