Sit back with your popcorn, because this is juicy! The names that went on the ballot, and the ones that didn't spilled some real tea from the elections!
Akhilesh Yadav is entering the Assembly battleground from Karhal seat in Mainpuri, but giving him tough competition from BJP is a hardened politician and Union Minister SP Baghel! But here is where things hit home, quite literally - Former cop Baghel actually was the Personal Security Officer for none other than Netaji Mulayam Singh himself, and it was in SP that he kickstarted his political career!

Avenging your relatives just got taken to a whole new level - joining Congress as it’s newest candidate is Neha Tiwari, the sister of Khushi Dubey - whose husband Amar Dubey was gunned down in an encounter with UP Police. Amar was a close associate of gangster Vikas Dubey. While it was Gayatri Tiwari, Khushi’s mother who was first set to fight these polls, she has withdrawn on her name on allegations of harassment by the BJP. The Mother-daughter duo are fighting for Khushi Tiwari, who was jailed just 2 days after her marriage to Amar Dubey

All the hue and cry over SP Choti Bahu joining the BJP proved to be rather anti-climatic when she wasn’t given the ticket for her seat of choice - Lucknow Cantt. But her Chief opponent Rita Bahuguna Joshi who defeated her from the same seat in 2017 was given the cold shoulder too! Although this time, she wanted a ticket for her son. UP minister Brajesh Pathak has taken the cake!
