Stray cattle is a big issue in these elections in UP. Farmers have been complaining about the stray cattle destroying their crops.

The problem has worsened in UP since strict implementation of ban on slaughter of cow and its progeny by the Yogi government.

Taking note of the anger among people, Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week in an election rally had promised a solution to the problem of stray cattle after March 10.
