UP Police on Friday lodged an FIR against gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari’s son, Abbas Ansari, for threatening government officials at a public rally in Mau district.
Abbas Ansari, who is contesting from Mau Sadar seat as SP alliance candidate, said at an election rally on Thursday that no government officials will be transfered for six months after elections as there will be hisaab kitaab with them.
"I've told SP chief Akhilesh Yadav that no transfers or postings will happen for six months. First, 'hisab kitab' will happen with them. Only then their transfer certificates would be stamped,” he said.

Mau Sadar seat will go to polls on March 7 in the last phase of UP elections. Mukhtar Ansari, who is lodged in jail currently, is not in the fray this time. His son Abbas is contesting from Ansari's traditional seat.
