UP Exit Polls: BJP victory predicted; SP second, Congress & BSP decimated | Election 2022

UP Exit Polls 2022: As 5 states recently went to polls, all eyes were on Uttar Pradesh - India's most populous state, with its verdict being seen as a mid-term referendum on the Narendra Modi administration.

After the final phase of voting on March 7, exit polls have given the Yogi Adityanath-led ruling alliance in state reason to be confident on March 10, when the final results are revealed. The majority mark in the 403-member assembly is 202.

Times Now-Veto's exit poll said that the ruling alliance is set to win 225 seats, while the SP and its partners would be limited to 151.

Republic-PMARQ predicted 240 for the BJP alliance, and 140 for the SP-led group. Aaj Tak-Axis My India's exit poll said that the BJP and its allies would secure 288 to 326 seats, while the SP alliance would win 71 to 101.

ABP-CVoter predicted 228 to 244 for the BJP alliance, while India TV-CNX said the ruling party would win 240 to 250. News24 and Today's Chanakya's exit poll said BJP might win 294 along with its allies, while SP would be limited to 105.

The poll of polls, or average of all the exit polls, predicted 258 seats for the BJP-led alliance, 128 for the Samajwadi Party-led alliance, 7 for the Congress, 8 for the BSP, and 2 seats for others.
