Uttar Pradesh's Sports Minister Upendra Tiwari was seen running in Ballia on Friday because he was late to file nomination papers for the upcoming state polls.

Tiwari, who is BJP's candidate from Phephna for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, decided to run to the returning officer's office in the Ballia collectorate in order to meet the 3pm deadline for filing nomination papers on Friday.

The last date for filing the nominations for Phephna Assembly constituency is February 11

In a viral video, he is seen running, dressed in a saffron turban and a scarf, from the Ballia Collectorate office's main gate to the nomination hall accompanied by his security staff.
