Uttarakhand Exit Polls: BJP win predicted by Poll of Polls; AAP fails to make mark | Election 2022

Uttarakhand Exit Polls 2022: BJP is predicted to have retained power in the hill state of Uttarakhand, despite a leadership crisis with 2 Chief Ministers being replaced in the run-up to the polls.

The majority mark in the 70-member Assembly is 36.

Times Now-Veto predicted a clear BJP victory giving the saffron party 37 seats. Republic-PMARQ's exit poll predicted a BJP victory with 35 to 39 seats, and Congress close on its heels. ABP News-CVoter's exit poll predicted a neck-and-neck race between the Congress and the BJP, with the Opposition party having an edge.

India TV-CNX's exit poll also put BJP in prime position, with 35 to 43 seats, and Congress with 24 to 32 seats. Aaj Tak-Axis My India predicted that the BJP would retain the hill state, by winning 36-46 seats, and the Congress 20 to 30. At 43, News24-Today's Chanakya gave BJP the highest among all the exit polls.

The poll of polls, or average of the exit polls, predicted 38 seats for the BJP, 27 for the Congress, 2 for the Aam Aadmi Party, and 3 for others.
