'Adipurush', starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, faced massive backlash after the teaser launch in October. It was criticized for its poor VFX and wrong depiction of Hindu Gods. Now, as per a report in ETimes, the makers have decided to shave off Saif's beard digitally. The look of the actor, who portrays the role of Ravana in the film, was trolled by many. Also, nearly Rs 30 crore will have to be spent to make the much-needed changes in the forthcoming film.

The movie is being made on a staggering budget of Rs 450-500 crore and it will be one of the most expensive Indian films ever.

Earlier, director Om Raut released a statement to announce that the release date of the film has been pushed. In his statement, he mentioned, 'Adipurush is not a film, but a representation of our devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram and commitment towards our sanskriti and history. In order to give a complete visual experience to the viewers, we need to give more time to the teams working on the film. Adipurush will now release on June 16th, 2023. We are committed to make a film that India will be proud of. Your support, love and blessings is what keeps us going.'

The film also stars Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage among others. The film is all set to release in theatres on June 16.
