The fifth installment of ‘Housefull’ movie franchise was initially set for a Diwali 2024 release, but now the film, featuring Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, has been postponed and will hit the theatres on June 6, 2025.
The film’s producer Sajid Nadiadwala released an official statement and wrote, ‘The Houseful franchise owes its massive success to the audiences, and we hope for a similar reception for Houseful 5. The team has crafted an absolutely mind-blowing story that demands top-notch VFX.’
On a closing note, the statement added, ‘Therefore, we’ve made the decision to push the release to ensure we deliver five times the entertainment with great cinematic experience. Housefull 5 will now be releasing on 6th June 2025.’
Akshay Kumar shared the news and wrote, ‘5 times the entertainment is on its way! See you in cinemas on 6th June 2025.’
As of now, only Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh are confirmed for 'Housefull 5'. Rumors suggest potential involvement of John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan, and Bobby Deol in the upcoming film.
The makers of ‘Housefull’ 5 had earlier issued an official statement about the film’s casting and urged everyone not to speculate anything as of now.
‘There are many speculations doing rounds about the star cast in Housefull 5, we kindly request media houses to please refrain from making any premature announcements at this stage. We will officially announce the star cast soon,’ the statement released by Nadiadwala Grandson read.
The first ‘Housefull’ movie was released in 2010 and starred Akshay Kumar with Jiah Khan, Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lara Dutta and Chunky Panday in the lead.
The second movie in the franchise hit theatres in 2012.
On the other hand, Housefull 3 and 4 were released in 2016 and 2019 respectively.
‘Housefull 5’ will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani.
