Rapper King left the audience enthralled with his electrifying performance at the IPL closing ceremony on May 29. He started his gig with hit numbers like 'Tu Aake Dekhle', 'Maan Meri Jaan' and others.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, King said that performing at IPL was like a dream come true for him. He said, ‘In my eyes, this is much above my songs topping charts and garnering numbers. I’ve grown up with cricket. It’s in my DNA like every other Indian, and it makes me extremely proud to be a part of this celebration of the sport. It’s also a big moment as an independent artiste to be able to perform in front of the entire country at an event of this stature.’
Though the rain played a spoiled sport on the scheduled day of the IPL Final, DJ Nucleya entertained the audience with his music on May 28.
IPL final match between Chennai Super King and Gujarat Titans took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 29. CSK won their 5th Indian Premier League title in a rain-curtailed match.
