Actor Shah Rukh Khan may have inadvertently revealed the title of his next film. Following his appearance in ‘Dunki,’ fans have eagerly awaited news of his next project. While Shah Rukh hinted at an upcoming film, he has been secretive about the specifics.
Reports suggest he is working on a film titled ‘King,’ where he co-stars with his daughter, actor Suhana Khan. Although Shah Rukh has not confirmed these reports, a recent video provided a hint.
Shah Rukh posted a video congratulating cinematographer Santosh Sivan on receiving the prestigious Pierre Angenieux Excel Lens award at the Cannes Film Festival. While fans appreciated Shah Rukh's message, many noticed the ‘King’ script on the table beside him.
The video quickly went viral, sparking excitement among fans for what could be another blockbuster.
‘King Khan himself, making the unofficial announcement for the much-awaited ‘King’ movie. Get ready for another blockbuster,’ a fan said. ‘Thank you “K I N G” for this unofficial announcement,’ added another.
Rumours of ‘King’ being in development have circulated for several months. Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh is reportedly directing the project, with Siddharth Anand's Marflix Pictures (known for producing ‘Fighter’) joining as one of the producers. Initially, Shah Rukh Khan was slated for a significant cameo. However, recent updates suggest he will take on a leading role alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan.
Earlier, as per a Pinkvilla report, it was disclosed that Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh had been in constant communication with Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, holding multiple meetings from October 2023 to February 2024. Sujoy is carefully crafting the script with Sid and SRK. The creation of top-notch action sequences falls entirely on Siddharth.
Discussing the film's storyline, a source added, ‘The action in King will be very different from what SRK has done in Pathaan and Jawan. This one will be sleek, with many chase sequences. However, the core plot is emotional and story-driven. It has many twists and turns, which is why Sujoy has been entrusted with the directorial responsibility.’
