Lata Mangeshkar funeral: Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Shraddha Kapoor pay their last respects

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away at 92. She had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on January 8, after she was diagnosed with COVID-19. Her sudden demise left millions of hearts broken across the nation.

Her condition had improved in January and she was taken off the ventilator, but her health deteriorated on Saturday. Two-day national mourning will be observed in the memory of the legenday singer and the Tricolor will fly at half-mast from February 6 to 7 across India. Many celebs paid their tribute to the 'Nightingale of India'.

Actor Anupam Kher visited Lata Ji's residence in Mumbai to pay his tributes. Amitabh Bachchan along with daughter Shweta Bachchan also bid farewell to Lata Ji.

Lyricist Javed Akhtar was also spotted at her home. The paps also captured Shraddha Kapoor arriving at the singer's home to pay her last respects.

Singer Kailash Kher and Bhushan Kumar also mourned the death of Lata Mangeshkar. She will be cremated at Shivaji Park maidan with full state honours.

Lata Mangeshkar began singing in 1942 and has been credited to have sung 25,000 songs in as many as 36 Indian languages including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali.
