Actor Priyanka Chopra extended support to Malala Yousafzai on Instagram after comedian Hasan Minhaj shared a video mocking the Noble Prize winner about how he may not follow her back on the social media platform even if she follows him. In the video, he shows how Malala opted to unfollow him now.

She shared a screenshot of Hasan Minhaj’s official account on her Instagram stories to show that she does not follow him on the social media platform, while he does follow her. Priyanka wrote, ‘Same girl same @malala Looks like he prefers petty over funny.’ She also tagged Nick Jonas and Hasan Minhaj in her story.

On October 15, Hasan Minhaj shared a video which seemed to be a promotion of his upcoming show. In the clip, which has been titled ‘Malala claps back’, Hasan said, ‘On October 4, I made a joke about Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala [Yousafzai]. I said she follows me on Instagram and I don't follow her back. Then on October 5th, she retaliated. She puts up an Instagram story that says ‘Should I unfollow Hasan Minhaj? 39% of her voters said ‘Who is this man?’ 38% of them said ‘Yes.’ Instead of doing a runoff, she unfollowed me on Instagram. I am sorry Malala, follow me back. I don't know if I'll follow you though. I am that petty.’ He also added, ‘Okay, it's getting out of hand.’ He titled the video ‘Malala Claps Back’ and tagged Malala Yousafzai.
Malala shared the video on Instagram story and wrote, ‘thanks to everyone who sent me this video because I no longer follow this man.’

Hasan Minhaj’s fans trolled him for this video. The comments on the post read, ‘Next Netflix special name Hasan Minhaj: Petty King.’ Another user commented, ‘This is an audition tape for the Daily Show gig. He's coming back y'all.’

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra will be next seen in OTT series ‘Citadel’ backed by Russo brothers. The actor also has ‘Ending Things’ and ‘It's All Coming Back To Me’ in the pipeline. She will also be seen in Farhan Akhtar's Bollywood film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
