Actor Varun Dhawan is all set to reunite with his filmmaker father for an out and out comedy. The father-son duo’s earlier collaboation in three films, ‘Main Tera Hero’, ‘Judwaa 2’ and ‘Coolie No. 1’, received decent success at box office. Here is what we know about their upcoming project.
Bollywood heartthrob Varun Dhawan is reportedly joining hands with his father for another collaboration on the big screen. The title of the film is yet to be decided, however, Tips Films is backing the project, while Ramesh Taurani is the producer.
A Pinkvilla report suggests that the family entertainer is scheduled to release on October 2, 2025. This will mark the fourth collaboration between the Dhawan father and son duo.
Varun & David’s first film together was ‘Main Tero Hero’, which was released in 2014. The comedy film got a thumbs up from the audience. They later came together in 2017 for ‘Judwaa 2’ which was also a hit, however, their last film ‘Coolie No. 1’ failed to impress the moviegoers.
Varun Dhawan had shared his experience of working with his father in an old interview. The actor described his father as a safe haven and said, “Dad is the king of comedy. He has tackled the genre for three decades and has found success in each decade. When you are working with such an accomplished director who knows the genre and its details so well, you know. I feel safe when I work with my father.”
Varun Dhawan was last seen in ‘Bawaal’ opposite Janhvi Kapoor. He is currently gearing up for his next film ‘Baby John’. Besides, he will also be seen in OTT show ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ where he will share the screen with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. On personal front, the actor is soon going to be a father.
