In a delightful twist to the promotion of the blockbuster film 'Pathaan', John Abraham has finally responded to the swirling talk around his viral “kiss” comment involving Shah Rukh Khan. In a recent interview, John humorously acknowledged that he received the "best kiss" of his life from none other than the King of Bollywood himself, Shah Rukh Khan. The two actors shared the screen in the 2023 hit, 'Pathaan' and their on-screen camaraderie is now making waves off-screen as well.
The buzz began at the film's success party, where Shah Rukh Khan affectionately planted a kiss on John Abraham's cheek, creating a heartwarming moment that was quickly picked up by fans and social media alike. Adding fuel to the fire, some savvy internet users humorously edited scenes from 'Pathaan', pairing John and Shah Rukh's intense on-screen chemistry with romantic tracks, despite their characters being arch-nemeses in the film.
John, who isn't active on social media himself, revealed in a conversation with News18 that his team kept him updated on the online frenzy. He mentioned, “I do not have social media on my phone, but my team tells me about the things that happen there. And yes, I have seen that meme.”
He recounted one particular meme that resonated with him, which featured the iconic romantic song "Bheegey Hont Tere," famously associated with Emraan Hashmi.
“There is also this other scene where we come really close to each other and they played Bheegey Hont Tere in the background. I saw it and it looked like the most romantic film ever,” he recounted, sharing a laugh.
On a more heartfelt note, John expressed his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan and reflected on the joy of collaborating with him. “On a serious note, it was a pleasure working with Shah Rukh. Each day was a delight on set. I wish more of such big commercial films happen because we need those as well," he remarked.
'Pathaan' directed by Siddharth Anand and also featuring Deepika Padukone, shattered numerous box office records and reaffirmed the audience's love for big-screen spectacles.
As for John Abraham, he continues to captivate audiences. On the professional front, he was last seen in 'The Diplomat', which premiered on March 14, 2025, hinting at an exciting slate of projects to look forward to.
