Kim Soo Hyun bags new drama 'Knock Off'; Yoo Jae Myung in talks to join the black comedy

Kim Soo Hyun made a history scripting comeback with 'Queen of Tears', three years after the release of his smash-hit drama 'It's Okay to Not Be Okay'. While fans are still hungover from 'QoT', Kim Soo Hyun has reportedly bagged a new drama. The actor will next star in the drama 'Knock Off' (working title). If the latest reports are to be believed, veteran actor Yoo Jae Myung, known for features as the antagonist in 'Itaewon Class', has joined Kim for the upcoming drama. 

Yoo Jae Myung joins Kim Soo Hyun for 'Knock Off' 

Yoo Jae-myung’s association with the upcoming drama was confirmed by his agency, ACE FACTORY, on May 1. In a statement, his agency revealed that discussions are progressing well from Yoo Jae-myung’s perspective.


Touted as a black comedy, 'Knock Off' is directed by Park Hyun Suk, who is well-known for his work on hit dramas such as 'Song of the Bandits', 'Uncontrollably Fond', and 'Forest of Secrets 2' (also known as Stranger 2). Remarkably, Yoo Jae Myung and Park Hyun Suk had previously worked together on 'Song of the Bandits' and 'Forest of Secrets (Stranger).


Kim Si Eun in talks to join the drama

According to reports, Kim Si Eun has been approached to play the role of female lead in 'Knock Off'. Responding to the report, a source from her agency GOLD MEDALIST stated that she has been offered the role and is currently reviewing it positively.  The actor is known for her roles in 'Labor Inspector', 'Run On', 'Mental Coach Jegal', and the successful film 'Next Sohee'.  The actor would also be appearing in 'Squid Game 2'.
