PUBG Mobile and a host of other less popular battle royale games are among 118 Chinese apps banned by the Indian government. Not to forget, Epic Games’ Fortnite has also been blocked by Google and Apple from receiving further updates. But it’s not the end of the road just yet.
Call of Duty: Mobile has to be the de facto alternative to the banned battle royale. The first-person shooter had the greatest opening ever, thanks to its superb graphics, ominous music and a rich legacy.
But it’s actually Garena Free Fire that looks and feels more like PUBG. Released in 2017, the 10-minute survival shooter game is fast-paced and allows players to ‘chute up anywhere, ride vehicles and switch between a wide variety of weapons.
Ark: Survival Evolved is a little different from the usual battle royale games out there. Well, it involves strategy and tactics to tame and train over 80 dinosaurs spread across land, water, and air and underground.
Battle Royale 3d – Warrior63 is another PUBG alternative that offers similar gameplay: you get dropped on a 4x4km map, hunt for weapons, avoid the poison circle and well, be the last one standing to win the game.
Hopeless Land: Fight for survival supports up to 121 players and even lets you fly a chopper. And the cherry on top, it can even be played on lower-end devices.
