A day after his shock resignation as Punjab Congress chief, Navjot Singh Sidhu tweeted a video on Wednesday morning detailing his reasons for quitting the post. Insisting that it's not a personal battle, Sidhu said that his is a fight for principles and he won't compromise on that.
Sidhu had reportedly been unhappy with new chief minister Charajit Singh Channi's picks for his cabinet. He was reportedly upset at Rana Gurjit Singh being included in the cabinet again. Singh has been accused of a role in a sand mining scam and quit the Amarinder Singh cabinet in 2018. He was later cleared by an inquiry panel.
