As the delay over the Karnataka chief minister continues, The Hindustan Times has reported that the Congress has offered the Deputy CM post and six ministerial portfolios to DK Shivakumar who along with Siddharamaih is a contender for the top post in the southern state.
The report said that Shivakumar's office has confirmed the offer but the Karnataka Congress chief is yet to take a decision.
The development comes even as the Congress brass, including Rahul Gandhi, met senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar as the party closes in on naming the next Karnataka chief minister after a thumping victory in the assembly election.
