The digital era has given us a number of things to appreciate and one amongst them are smart speakers. Recently, a research from Ofcom revealed that these smart devices can help users feel less lonely.
Other than this, they also help differently-abled people feel more independent. In the survey, 100 smart speaker owners and 15 non-owners were involved.
In the findings, it was revealed that a large number of survey participants reported that the speakers acted as a companion with whom they can talk.
The organisation also found that during the pandemic, the number of ownership of smart speakers in UK households doubled from 22 per cent in 2020 to 39 per cent in 2022.
