Summer season brings along cockroaches, leaving us fed up with these bothersome pests. Whether in kitchen or bathroom, they not only create havoc around our homes but are also carriers of various diseases. Are you too troubled by these nasty urchins? If yes, then these speedy DIY solutions will help you get rid of cockroaches.
Using sugar and baking soda - Mix sugar and baking soda powder in a bowl and sprinkle it over all areas affected by cockroaches. As soon as cockroaches smell sugar and feed on the mixture, they'll run away.
Using bay leaves - Take a few bay leaves (tej patta) and grind them in a blender to make powder. Sprinkle this powder of bay leaves all across the affected areas and it won't take long for cockroaches to leave your home.
Things you should do to keep cockroaches away from your home
Keep your home clean: Cockroaches are attracted to food crumbs and spills, so regularly clean up any crumbs, spills, and food debris. Sweep floors, wipe down countertops, and store food in sealed containers to deny cockroaches a food source.
Seal entry points: Cockroaches can enter your home through tiny cracks and openings. Seal gaps around windows, doors, pipes, and vents with caulk or weather stripping to prevent cockroaches from getting inside.
Use natural repellents: Certain scents repel cockroaches, such as peppermint oil, bay leaves, and cucumber slices. Place cotton balls soaked in peppermint oil or bay leaves in areas where cockroaches are likely to hide, or strategically place cucumber slices around your home to deter them.
