Sharing daily life stuff with your bestie is like therapy for many and the recent study suggests the same.
According to a paper published in SAGE journals, having a quality conversation with your best friend can help you boost your well-being. The researchers identified 7 types of communication with your friend; catching up, meaningful talk, joking around, valuing others, showing care, giving compliments and listening.
The study team asked more than 900 people to get engaged in one of these activities and self-report their feelings.
Later, it was concluded that those who engaged in any type of communication with their best friend reported higher well-being and happiness as compared to those who did not.
