Shawn Mendes recently announced his new song and the singer made the announcement along with a photo of New York City’s polluted orange sky from a Canadian wildfire.

The Señorita singer is getting backlashed on Twitter for using New York's pollution photo to promote his new single 'What The Hell Are We Dying For?'

Even though fans are happy about the new song, they are criticising him for using the picture as the song's artwork.

It is also noteworthy that New York City witnessed an orange haze on Tuesday and Wednesday this week due to the aftermath of the wildfires in Canada, where Mendes hails from.
