Your favourite doll Barbie is getting a Diwali make over! The toy maker company Mattel has unveiled Barbies designed by renowned designer Anita Dongre, marking its first ever collaboration with an Indian designer.
Celebrating the festive season, the Diwali-inspired Barbie is dressed in a traditional Rajasthani koti vest adorned with nature-inspired motifs. According to Anita Dongre, the ensemble represents the fashion-forward modern Indian woman.
Netizens have embraced the India-inspired Barbie, who is draped in a blue-printed lehenga, jhumkas, bangles, a bindi, kohl-lined eyes, stilettos, and a middle-part ponytail.
