Chic packaging and a promise of fixing skin might be garnering customers now. However, Indians still love their 'OGs' a little too much and are possessive about them too. Yes, we are talking about some of the classic skincare products and the nostalgia attached to them.

Well, people might have got some new flings (new skincare brands) but there are nothing like the charm of products like Vaseline, Boroline, Kailas Jeevan, and Vicco Turmeric, among others.

Brings back fond memories

We asked our colleagues at Editorji about what makes these OG products special for them and what they feel about them.

Most people answered that even though they don't use these products any more, they bring them back fond memories from their childhood days and remind them of their their grandparents and are essential parts of their lives. While others talked about how these products are still important parts of their day to day lives and are like generational wealth which have been passed onto them which they are going to take it forward to the next gen.

These brands might not be the hottest topics in beauty discussions anymore, but they have stood the test of time for good reasons and here are some reasons that make them so special:

  • These products are cost-effective
  • They come in handy
  • They are not glamorous but are incredibly versatile
  • They are incredibly beneficial
