Cannes 2023: The most anticipated film festival of the year opened with much talked about looks from various celebs, filmmakers and dignitaries. Let’s have a look at those who donned Indian traditional for the red carpet. 

Filmmaker Meenakshi Shedde

Film curator, critic and filmmaker Meenakshi Shedde, who on the International Critics' Week jury, wore a black saree on the opening day. 

Sara Ali Khan

Actor Sara Ali Khan made her Cannes red carpet debut in an embellished lehenga designed by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla and completed her look with traditional Indian jewellery and minimal makeup. 

L. Murugan, Union Minister of State for I&B 

Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting L. Murugan, who headed the Indian delegation on the first day chose a Veshti and a shirt with the Tiranga on the left and the G20 logo on the right side.
