Cleaning your face is an essential part of your skincare routine, but there are several common mistakes that people often make while doing so.

Choosing the right face wash is very important. People tend to buy any face wash with no regard to their skin, which ends up causing skin problems like pimples, and dryness. Here are some mistakes to avoid while cleaning your face.

Using hot water, especially in summer

In the scorching heat, water stored in tanks can turn overly hot. This hot water strips away your skin's natural oils, promoting dryness. Stick to regular water temperatures to cleanse your face.

Relying on wet wipes

Sweating during summer might tempt you to rely on wet wipes for quick facial cleaning. However, these wipes often contain chemicals that can irritate your skin due to preservatives and fragrances. Moreover, they might not effectively remove all dirt, potentially clogging pores and causing breakouts.

Avoiding soaps

Soaps are generally unsuitable for facial use due to their propensity to cause dryness, irritation, or inflammation. Instead, choose a suitable face wash based on your skin type to maintain skin health.

Neglecting towel hygiene

Using a previously used or unclean towel to dry your face can contribute to skin problems. Bacteria and dirt transferred from the towel may lead to breakouts or infections. Prioritise the use of clean towels or soft tissues for drying your face.
