Hair colour can be a fun and expressive choice, but the notion that colouring your hair causes more grey hair is false.

If you also think that colouring your hair causes it to turn grey faster, then you are wrong. Dermatologist Dr. Jushya Sarin busts the myth. According to her, grey hair has nothing to do with colouring. According to him, genetics, excessive stress and lack of nutrition can cause hair to turn white. She also added that colouring the hair does not affect the hair follicles because they are located far below the scalp.

She also explained that hair turns grey due to genetics and ageing, not because of hair dye. So, feel free to experiment with different hair colors without worrying about accelerating the greying process – it's all about personal style and embracing the hues that make you feel confident.
