The Silicon Valley of India offers many surprises, not just for tourists, but also for its unsuspecting denizens. One such surprise went viral on X recently.
A social media influnecer on X spotted what appeared to be a “clothes truck”, a mobile clothing store, while heading to the temple with his wife. Though quite similar in concept to celebs’ vanity vans, this sighting only goes to show why Bengaluru is truly a land of innovation, and how you never know what you might see on the streets!
Netizens had mixed reactions to the viral post, with one user replying with, “Vanity van without curtains 😂”
Others called it a billion-dollar startup idea, citing how Bengaluru citizens spend way more time commuting than anywhere else. Still others found this idea confusing. “Food truck suna tha par didn’t see this coming!” one user replied.
There was no dearth of support for this ‘desi jugaad’ either. One X user expressed their support in the most wholesome way possible. “I think it’s nice that a person is trying to do what showrooms do in big malls. I have no problem with a middle class guy trying to make ends meet, even if it’s not entirely usual, as long as it’s not unethical atleast”, they wrote.
Bengaluru is an important commercial and technological hub for the rest of the country, and is often at the cutting edge of fashion and food trends. So this kind of “fast fashion” innovation is indeed “peak Bengaluru”!
