It's not Holi if you don't drench each others’ faces with colours. But, the sad part is these colours may leave stains on your skin.

Check out these simple yet effective homemade scrubs that you can apply to your skin before stepping into the shower.

Milk and besan

Apply a paste of besan and milk on your face and keep it for 10 minutes. Use some water and then scrub it out in circular motions.

Oatmeal, lemon and honey

For soft and smooth skin, make a face scrub using oatmeal, lemon juice and honey. Apply this concoction all over your face and keep it for at least 30 minutes. Before washing it off, massage it well in circular motions.

Aloe vera gel and lemon juice

This one is quite effective when it comes to removing colour stains. Mix aloe vera gel and lemon juice and apply it all over the face. You can also use a cotton ball.

Masoor Dal, lemon juice and rose water

Make a paste of powdered masoor dal, lemon juice and rose water. Apply it on the face and slowly scrub off with wet hands once it dries out. Don't forget to use a moisturiser when you're done.
