When was the last time you washed your hairbrush? Errrr... Well, don't be embarrassed, you're not alone!
According to a report by the University of Arizona, dirty hairbrushes are the worst breeding ground for bacteria. If left uncleaned for a long time, germs pass onto your hair and scalp from the residue on the brush, making your hair look greasy, dry and lifeless. It may also cause odour and skin irritation.
Experts suggest removing loose hair from your hairbrush at least three times a week and giving your brush a good deep clean in warm water with mild shampoo or baking soda every one to two weeks, or more often if you have long hair.
