International singing sensation Justin Beiber recently wore a shirt of Pakistani brand Rastah and has left people talking about it.
Well, he is not the only celeb who has worn this brand as Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor and Moroccan rapper French Montana have also been spotted in Rastah.
This brand is the brainchild of three cousins, Zain, Ismail, and Adnan Ahmad in Lahore. The brand name is in Urdu, which translates to path or journey.
It was founded in 2018. Zain, the creative director of the label, grew up in London, Toronto, and Vancouver as well, but is consistently inspired by Lahore.
Rastah is a top-notch fashion brand from South Asia. Their goal is to take traditional South Asian heritage and craftsmanship and give it a modern twist. They create clothes that are like a blend of Western and Eastern styles, mixing contemporary art with traditional Eastern designs like those seen in Mughal miniatures. They also incorporate stories of migration and movement.
These clothes aren't just about fashion – they also have a political side. They can have a big impact both in their local region and around the world. Even though their inspiration comes from different places, each collection is born, found, and created in Pakistan.
