At New York Fashion Week, Prabal Gurung debuted his Spring/Summer 2024 collection at Roosevelt Island. This collection was deeply influenced by his recent journey to India, where he spent time with family, including his grandmother.
Gurung's designs beautifully merged elements from his native Nepal and India, resulting in a distinctly feminine collection with a global aesthetic. The pieces featured a vibrant array of colours, with flowing fabrics mixed with modern Western elements like blazers and tailored trousers.
The presentation showcased a range of styles, including dhoti pants, free-flowing dresses, and fringed jackets. Each garment gave a chic yet effortlessly wearable vibe.
Running officially from September 8 to 13, this year's New York Fashion Week will not only spotlight established brands like Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, and Tory Burch but also shine a spotlight on emerging talents and brands such as 3.1 Phillip Lim, Altuzarra, Gabriela Hearst, Carolina Herrera, and Luar.
