Wearing the right-sized bra is not only about comfort but also plays a crucial role in maintaining breast health. Experts strongly recommend wearing a properly fitted bra to prevent discomfort, avoid potential health issues, and ensure the longevity of your lingerie. A well-fitted bra provides essential support and can enhance both physical comfort and self-confidence.

Copywriter and podcaster Karsen Murray shared on TikTok how she and her sister discovered that they were wearing the wrong size bra during bra shopping at a store in Nordstrom.

During their shopping excursion, Murray inquired with a saleswoman for "the trifecta" consisting of a T-shirt bra, a pushup bra, and a high-quality strapless bra. The saleswoman then informed her, "Alright, I'll return with a size D." To which Murray responded, "No, that won't do. I've always worn a B; a D would leave it all too loose."

That’s when Murray realised that she had been wearing a wring size bra all her life. Through her TikTok video, she inspired many of her followers to go for bra fitting so that they could know the proper bra size that they should wear. One of the followers replied, “It’s life-changing!”

According to Pour Moi, a lingerie retailer based in Britain, an improperly fitted bra can result in back pain, stretch marks, and poor posture. The company has developed a 3D model illustrating the adverse effects of an incorrect fit on the body. Pour Moi emphasizes that ill-fitting bras can pose significant health risks, including issues like chafing, back pain, and skin indentations.
