New research based on a survey done on 5,000 Americans reveals that one in six Americans indulge in dessert every day.
The study, conducted by OnePoll for Crumbl Cookies, found that 74 per cent consider themselves "dessert people," with Tennessee residents (25%) topping the list followed by Colorado, Louisiana and North Carolina (22% each).
The most-craved time across states is around 2:30 p.m. and the popular desserts include ice cream (55%), cookies (35%), and chocolate (32%), with chocolate chip cookies as the most favourite (62%).
Cookies evoke sensations beyond taste, with participants associating them with smell and texture. A majority (67%) are open to trying unique cookie flavours, and respondents shared creative suggestions for new flavours.
