We all have days when we wonder what to eat for our next meal. ‘Fried Rice’ is a common go-to dish in many Indian households when we have some left-over rice and vegetables. The blend of hot rice and healthy seasonal veggies not only bring the satisfaction to the taste buds but are also a healthy option to opt for.
While everyone has their own unique recipe to make this dish, star cricketer Virat Kohli recently revealed his own secret and healthy take to this regular recipe. In a conversation with stand-up comedian Rahul Subramanian to promote his new venture One8Commune in Bengaluru, Kohli shared his take on the recipe.
Kohli said, “Try making vegetable fried rice with vegetable stock. It is outstanding”. Kohli went on to advocate for 'Fried Rice with vegetable stock' saying that it gets better than any street style fried rice when the vegetable stock is used in making the dish.
The homemade recipe of ‘Fried Rice’ has its own benefit. The ingredients that include rice, vegetables and Virat’s special suggestion ‘vegetable stock’ when brought together turn into a balanced meal that meets all the necessary requirements of nutrition.
Known for his fitness, Virat’s unique twist to the recipe is a ‘must-try’ at a time when mindful eating is emphasised the most to avoid several health risks.
