Muslims across the world are celebrating Eid-al-Adha. The festival is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic or lunar calendar. Also called as the 'festival of sacrifice', it marks the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
On this special day, as you celebrate with your friends and family, treat them to a special dessert - shahi tukda. Easy to make and delicious to eat, this one is a sure-shot treat!
Ingredients:
Bread
Ghee
Milk
Cardamom powder
Saffron
Dry Fruits
Condensed milk
Corn flour
To make this delicious dessert, first remove the edges of the bread and cut them in a triangle shape. Now heat hot ghee in the pan and fry the bread in hot oil until it turns golden.
After this, boil milk in a pan. Now add cardamom powder, saffron, dry fruits, condensed milk and corn flour slurry and cook till it thickens.
Now pour this rabri over the bread and garnish it with pistachios and rose flowers. Your tasty shahi tukda is now ready!
