Indian chutneys rule the best dips list, 3 of them you must add to your summer diet

Chutney, a versatile and flavorful condiment, holds a cherished place in Indian cuisine. Made from a diverse range of ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices, chutneys offer a delightful blend of sweet, sour, spicy, and tangy flavours.

When it comes to food, India leaves its footprints everywhere. Recently, the popular food and travel guide, Taste Atlas, released a list of the 50 best dips in the world and Indian chutneys collectively have occupied the 42nd position, coriander chutney ranked 47th and mango chutney claimed the 50th position. Topping the list is Toum from Lebanon. 

 

Must add chutneys to the summer diet 

Raw Mango Chutney: This tangy and refreshing chutney is perfect for cooling off in the summer heat. Made from raw mangoes, it provides a burst of flavor and is rich in vitamins and antioxidants.

Dhaniya Chutney: A staple in many Indian households, coriander (dhaniya) chutney is packed with fresh herbs and spices. It's not only delicious but also aids digestion and adds a fresh, zesty touch to any meal.

Pudina Chutney: Mint (pudina) chutney is a cooling and aromatic condiment that pairs well with various dishes. Its refreshing taste and cooling properties make it a great choice for summer.

Coconut Chutney: Popular in South Indian cuisine, coconut chutney is creamy and mildly sweet. It’s perfect for pairing with idlis, dosas, and other light summer meals, providing a soothing and refreshing flavour.
