It is a never-ending debate about whether we should eat leftover food or not. Here's some explanation regarding it.

Eating leftovers may cause indigestion and bloating. The prolonged habit of eating leftovers might affect the intestines. As nutritional value of leftover food is lesser than fresh food, experts recommend consuming food within 3 hours of being cooked.

Avoid eating food older than 24 hours and make sure to store and heat it properly. Some experts believe that reheating leftover food to a temperature of 73.8°C for 15 seconds has some potential to kill bacteria.
